É de um musical o mérito de maior premiado da história de um Globo de Ouro. Em sua 74ª edição, a premiação deu sete estatuetas ao musical "La La Land: Cantando Estações", estrelado por Ryan Gosling e Emma Stone, que também levaram o primeiríssimo lugar por suas atuações. 

Revelado na noite deste domingo e sendo como sempre e ainda bem espaço para grandes manifestações e discursos belíssimos e emocionantes, o Globo de Ouro elegeu La La Land: Cantando estações como melhor Musical ou Comédia, e "Moonlight: sob a luz do luar" como melhor produção de Drama.
